Dana Herman

Dana Herman, 40, Mandan passed away, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 20 from 10:00-11:30 am at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan. Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery. The family invites you for lunch and fellowship at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Mandan from 12:00 - 3:30 pm following the burial.

Dana passed away at the tender young age of 40. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Armstrong High School, Class of 2000.

Dana enjoyed many activities throughout her school years including acting in school plays, softball, and participating in the gifted and talented programs each year. She was an avid reader and loved scary movies.

Dana met Mike, the love of her life, at age 15 and they were married several years later and lived in Boise, ID before making their home in Mandan, ND. Her greatest joy was their daughter, Grace, to whom she dedicated every moment of every day to being an exceptional mother.

Dana worked as a library para-professional, a job she truly loved and made a positive impact on the lives of her students.

Dana leaves behind her beloved husband, Mike, and their beautiful daughter, Grace, who is so much like her.

She is also survived by her parents, Tom & Bonnie Temple of Lakeland, FL; brother, Logan (Katie) Temple of Delano, MN; grandmother Sandra Fort of Lakeland, FL; father and mother-in-law, Bruce and Lucilda Herman of Bismarck, ND; brother-in-law, Tyler (Karissa) Herman of Richmond, TX; grandparents-in-law, Alvin and Esther Herman of  Bismarck, ND; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and her best friend, Amanda Carlson.

Dana’s entire family will miss her more than words can say and our hearts are forever broken.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations for Grace Herman’s college fund.
