Allen Lee Ressler was born June 24, 1964, the son of the late Jack and Josephine (Martin) Ressler. Allen was raised and educated in Mandan.
On June 30, 1984, Allen married the love of his life, soulmate, and best friend, Becky Keller. Allen and Becky had two daughters, Amy Ressler (37, Rapid City) and Kayla Quenette (36, Fargo). Allen was blessed with three grandchildren and one on the way, Jacob Torgerson, Aryn Torgerson, Bismarck; Candor Quenette and baby Clover due any time, Fargo.
Allen was a fun loving guy that enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He rode up until he no longer had the energy. He was active with the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club. Throughout the years, his motorcycle buddies became like family to him. He loved cars and going to watch car races in particular: World of Outlaw Spirit Races. Allen loved life and the people he met. Nobody could tell a story like Allen could. When he started storytelling, he would have a group of people surrounding him. Allen was a kind man and a generous man.
During his professional life, Al spent years driving as an over-the-road truck driver. He and Becky would drive double and take the girls and it became work and family time. In more recent years, Becky and Allen worked together again at Mandan Public Schools.
Allen is survived by his wife, Becky; daughters, Amy and Kayla; brothers, Jim (Leona) Ressler, Bismarck, and Dennis (Linda) Ressler, Mandan; sister, Yvonne (Jerry) Peterson; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Ryan Peterson; and brother-in-law, Dan Keller.
