Willene Hoff

Willene Jean (McGee) Hoff, age 76, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2019, with her family by her side. She passed due to complications battling COPD.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND, with Rev. Christina Martin officiating.  Burial will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Weigel Funeral Home.

Willene was born January 18, 1943 in Missoula, Montana to William and Irene (Boe) McGee. She graduated from Missoula County High School in 1960. She married Carl C. Hoff on August 26, 1966.

She lived in many cities throughout Montana and Idaho until moving to Mandan, North Dakota in 1975. She worked at Cloverdale Food until her husband, Carl, became ill. She stayed home to take care of him until his passing on March 8, 2004.

Willene was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She especially loved her little companion, her dog Nikki. She was ecstatic to learn before her passing that she was going to become a great grandmother.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, and baking. Her passion was her vegetable and flower gardens. Her hobbies were reading, word puzzles, card and board games, going to garage sales, and watching the Food Network. One of her favorite things was to visit with her daughters and granddaughters; talking and laughing for hours. She always knew how to make us smile.

Willene is survived by her son, Michael Bentley; daughter, Christine (St. Germaine) Burkhardt; granddaughters, Kylene Burkhardt, Lacie Geiger, Brittney Burkhardt, Danae (Tyler) Doll, Shana Geiger, and MaKayla (Austin Keim) Burkhardt; her sister, Charlene (Dan) Jones; half-brother, Andy (Teri) McGee; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ted (Donna) Haff, Kenny (Cindy) Haff, Gardine Haff, Betty Ternes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl C. Hoff; husband, Myron Gilbert St. Germaine; daughter, Kyla (Hoff) Geiger; her parents, William and Irene (Boe) McGee; her grandparents; sister, Darlene McGee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Lena Haff; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Doris) Haff, Pete Haff, Henry (Linda) Haff, Dorothy (Frank) Ulrich, Tony (Karen) Haff, Michael Haff, Mary Ann, and James Rhone.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at Northland Pace, Guardian and Protective Services, Golden Age, and Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for taking very good care of their mother and grandmother. Thank you to her doctor, Dr. Jackie Quisno, her nurse, Annetta Forest, and the CHI St. Alexius Hospital staff.
