Wade was born to Earl Henry Claymore, and Evelyn May (Agard) Claymore on June 25, 1965 at Fort Yates, North Dakota. Wade attended school at the Standing Rock Elementary and High School in Fort Yates.
Wade met Cynthia M. Bendickson and they married on November 20, 1989. They celebrated 25 years of marriage before his passing, raising five loving sons and two beautiful loving daughters, and four loving grandchildren.
Wade enjoyed working at the Standing Rock Elementary School and Prairie Knights Casino for many years.
Wade enjoyed life, he lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed FAMILY, he was a loving, caring, kind-hearted, hard-working man. He loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed his visits with his sisters. Wade always welcomed the youth that came to our house, his door was always open to the children that came.
Wade was proud to be LAKOTA. He enjoyed his culture and traditions. This was his way of life. He carried a pipe and loved teaching others, loved talking and telling stories. He was always learning and listening to what others had to say. He loved going to Sitting Bull Sundance, he used to say, "This is my way of life," and he loved it down there, it was always hard for him to leave. He taught all his children this way of life, after they were born and before their 1st birthdays, they were down at Sitting Bull Camp. Along with carrying a pipe, he participated in the Sundance, and our ceremonies. Wade loved to sing. He was part of the family drum group, Lakota Thunder. He was proud that him and his sons were all part of Lakota Thunder. He used to tell everyone, "it's a family drum group."
Wade loved making drums with his brother Joe, he always enjoyed those visits. He enjoyed cooking, reading, and beading when he could. He loved to dance, he was a traditional dancer and he designed his outfit. He was proud to be part of that circle too.
Wade will be greatly missed by his family. We loved him dearly. We will miss his teaching, stories, laughter, and his jokes. When things got tough, he always found a way to make us feel better. My loving gentle husband, you will be forever in our hearts and memories. Journey home my loving husband.
