Veronica Glatt, 94, Bismarck, died December 23, 2013 at St. Vincent’s Care Center in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at church of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bismarck, ND with Rev. Terry Wipf as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Cemetery Napoleon at a later date.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Veronica Schutt was born August 1, 1919, daughter of Valentine and Frances (Silbernagel) Schutt in Napoleon. She married Anton Glatt on October 25, 1938 at Napoleon. Along with raising her family, Veronica also worked in every aspect of farm life. In 1975, she and Anton moved to Bismarck. Veronica was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She also liked crocheting and embroidery and made a wonderful vegetable soup.
Veronica will be deeply missed by daughters, Mary (Julius) Bosch and Frances Fetzer (Jim Kocher), all of Bismarck; Johanna (Larry) Bosch, IA; sons, John (Theresa), David (Laura), and Bill, all of Bismarck; Tony, Jr. (Marie), VA; daughter-in-law, Janice Glatt, Bismarck; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild sisters, Bergetta (Rodger) McCloskey, Bismarck; and Frances (Eddy) Renner, WI.
Veronica was preceded in death by her husband, Anton in 1998; her parents; son, Alvin; great-granddaughter, Brittnay Bosch; sisters, Ann (Vincent) Schmidt; Barbara (Pete) Kuntz; Maggie (Mike) Hilzendeger; Betty (Jacob) Jangula; brother, John (Maggie) and sister, Christina.
