Thomas H. Perius

Thomas Perius, 72, of Mandan, ND, died Sept. 27, 2022 at Sanford Health in Bismarck. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30 AM Tuesday, Oct. 4th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan with Father Joshua Waltz as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Mandan Union Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Monday at Weigel Funeral Home with a 6:30 PM rosary followed by a parish prayer service. 

Tom was born Sept. 30, 1949 in Bismarck to Clarence & Marion (Bergman) Perius.  He attended school in Bismarck and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1967.  He then attended the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.  Tom married JoAnn Usselman on April 30, 1982 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bismarck.  He worked as an electrician for over 40 years and was a member of the Local Electric Workers Union 714.  Tom was a member of the Bismarck Eagles Club and enjoyed puzzles, crossword puzzles, and shopping to keep his home well-stocked with essentials.  

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn of Mandan;  daughter, Sarah (Eric) Weninger of Mandan;  son, Matt Usselman of Bismarck;  grandson, Tucker;  brothers-in-law, Chris Usselman & Paul (Bonnie) Usselman;  sisters-in-law, Peggy Hieb, Betty Baumiller, Donna Berger, & Becky (Tony) Roe; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents (Clarence & Marion), mother & father-in-law (Anthony & Dwinia Usselman), siblings and their spouses (Marvin & Rita, Shirley & Tom, Percy & Loretta/Judy, Judi, Al & Clem).
