Theresa Nagel, 104, Bismarck, died December 6, 2014 at St. Vincent’s Care Center in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher, ND with Father Dennis Schafer as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with a Christian Mothers Rosary and at 7:00 pm followed by a Parish Vigil. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Theresa was born on June 6, 1910 to Albinus and Mary (Wilhelm) Hintz. Theresa was raised and educated in Brisbane, North Dakota. She helped her parents for a number of years taking care of the household and the farm until she married Peter Nagel on October 17, 1933 in a double wedding along with her brother, John, and her husband’s sister, Emma, in Brisbane, ND.
Theresa was an avid gardener with the specialty of raising tomatoes. Her hobbies included crochet, playing cards including whist and smear, and bingo. Theresa loved watching the Lawrence Welk Show and her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives. Her greatest pride was her grandchildren. She especially loved the holidays and spending time with her family. Theresa was an excellent cook known for her specialty of chicken noodle soup, strudel, and kuchen. It always brought a great smile to her face when her grandchildren would bring her any type of wild game from their hunting excursions especially pheasant and grouse.
Theresa and Peter were employed at Mor-Gran_Sou Electric in Flasher. Theresa was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Christian Mothers and 55 Club in Flasher for a number of years. In 2004, she moved to St. Vincent’s Care Center. She will be remembered for her grace and sweet disposition, the love of people, and life, which stayed with her until the end.
Theresa will be deeply missed by her daughter, Darlene Bohl, Mandan; grandchildren, Anthony (Shannon) Bohl, Korea, Melissa (Ryan) Quern, Shakopee, MN, Steven (Melissa) Bohl, Minot, ND, Richard (Amy Omlid) Bohl, Flasher, ND, Robert (Tasha) Bohl, Flasher, ND; great-grandchildren, Rachell, Austin, Valorie Bohl, Ellie, Riley and Haylee Quern, Abigail and Nicholas Bohl, Payton Omlid, Josie Bohl, Madalyn, Rebekka, and Fallyn Bohl.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter, in 1993; brother, John (Emma) Hintz; sisters, Margaret Hintz, Katie (Dick) Dorscher, and Evelyn (Gene) Klein and son-in-law, Lawrence Bohl.
