Tedilyn Silk, 49, of Mandan, ND passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at a Bismarck Hospital.
Funeral service for Tedilyn will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Weigel Funeral Home, 309 4th Ave. NW, Mandan, with Father John Floberg officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the funeral home and will continue 1 hour prior to the service.
Tedilyn Rose Redshirt was born August 18th 1975 to Emery Silk and Margaret Redshirt in Bismarck, and was later baptized at the St.Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
Tedi was raised in Bismarck by her Mother and Grandmother where she attended school until she entered the Quentin M. Burdick Job Corps in Minot. Once she completed Job Corps she attended United Tribes Technical College and received a certificate in her vocation.
Tedilyn had a heart of gold, filled with warmth and compassion. Her light shined so bright that even people who didn't know her were drawn to her warm personality. Tedi touched the hearts of many she came across in her short years. She left us too soon, but filled all of our hearts with wonderful memories to cherish and never forget.
Tedi's pastime hobbies included: arts and crafts, reading, researching Native American History, collecting turtles, stones and precious crystals which over her lifetime amounted to thousands. She had a talent for creating jewelry, using rocks, crystals and beads. She enjoyed sharing her gifts with all who knew her, especially her family.
Tedi leaves behind her son, Garydean (Alaina) and granddaughter Elsie Mae; mother, Margaret Redshirt; niece, Destiny Israel; sisters: Kelly Silk, Dani Onefeather and Jerilyn "Chickie" Wilkie; brothers: Cody Redshirt, Karmen Redshirt, Gene Wilkie, Ira Silk and Orin Silk; aunts: Mary (Rueben) Lira and Amanda Birdbear; uncles: Ted (Deb) Redshirt their children Jeremy, Nicole and Erin; Len Redshirt and his sons: Jared and Aaron Clancy; Godmother, Teresa (Neal) Merdanian; special friends: Kerry H, Kari B, Ben Black Cloud, Shaun Black Cloud, Crystal Black Cloud, Isaac and Israel Swiftbird, Jen W and Amanda Lockwood; we cannot forget her beloved dog Beau as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her father Emery Silk, step-father, Oscar "Bud" Wilkie; grandmother, Agatha Redshirt; uncle, Gary O. Redshirt and aunt, Rita Silk.
