Taylor Rebecca Fisher, 16, of Mandan, North Dakota, was taken from us in a tragic accident on October 2, 2026.
Taylor was born on April 26, 2010, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Billy and Sue Fisher. She had a bright and curious mind from her earliest days. As a little girl, she could spend hours building with LEGOs or testing science experiments. She carried that love of learning into Mandan High School, where she was a junior, a member of the honor roll, and a student who challenged herself in advanced classes. She was a member of the Braves tennis team and Future Business Leaders of America. Taylor also loved to dance. As a member of the Just for Kix dance team, she helped earn first place at the 2026 Together We Dance Competition, a victory she proudly shared with her teammates.
Taylor was endlessly creative and had a mischievous side. She loved games and found joy in playful antics, especially the competitive kind. Holidays in the Fisher home meant gathering around the table with the people she loved most, playing games and laughing late into the night. She loved her friends fiercely. Together they filled their days with fun, whether watching the sunsets, getting sweet treats, baking, crafting, painting, making TikTok videos, and other things from their summer bucket list.
Taylor enjoyed camping and loved traveling with her family. She was just as happy close to home, playing tennis, shopping, and getting manicures with her mom or fishing, hunting, and operating equipment on the family farm with her dad. She could often be found offering a helping hand at events at Rusty’s Saloon. She was also a very proud aunt to her nephews, Gage and Jagger Hruby, who adored her as much as she adored them and fondly called her D’Auntie. She and the boys made fun videos of their own, which are now family treasures.
Those who knew Taylor best will remember her empathetic heart above all. She shared her gentle spirit and boundless affection with her friends, family, dogs and kittens on the family farm, and her boyfriend, Ben. Taylor’s bright smile and warm embrace welcomed him to Heaven by her side.
Taylor is survived by her parents, Billy and Sue Fisher; her brother, Brian (Brad Bond); her sister, Ashley (Tyler) Hruby; her nephews, Gage and Jagger Hruby; her grandparents, Bill and Donna Fisher; and a large, loving family of uncles, aunts, and cousins who cherished her.
Taylor was greeted in Heaven by her aunt, Becky Fisher; her uncle, John Schwartzbauer; and her grandparents, George and Alice Schwartzbauer.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 PM on Sunday, October 11th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan. A Parish Rosary & Vigil will begin at 2:45 PM followed by a time of sharing. Friends and family are invited to share stories and memories of Taylor during this time.
A joint Mass of Christian Burial for Taylor and Ben will be held on Monday, October 12, at 10:00 am at the Mandan High School gymnasium. Attendees are asked to use the east parking areas and enter through the school's east main entrance. Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to help establish a scholarship fund in Taylor’s memory. Donate online here: Taylor Fisher Memorial Fund or at any Starion Bank location to the Taylor Fisher Benefit account.
