Steven John Hermanson, 60, Mandan, died January 18, 2015 at Sanford Health Systems in Bismarck. He had been a patient at Vibra Hospital in Mandan since September 24, 2014.
Memorial service celebrating Steven’s life will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND with Deacon Dennis Rohr presiding. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at Mandan Union Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet visitors from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015.
Steven was born on March 3, 1954 at the Mandan Deaconess Hospital to John and Donna (Mann) Hermanson. Steven was raised and educated in Mandan. He graduated from Mandan High School in 1972. He attempted attending Bismarck State College but because of his ill health was forced to quit. He was employed for short periods of time at Supercrete, KFYR and the Mandan Elks Club.
Steve was known as “Worm” to friends and loved fishing and tooling around in his 1995 Olds. His health rapidly deteriorated in the past 3 years but as one of his sisters said “He used up all of his 9 lives.”
Steven will be deeply missed by his parents, John and Donna; sisters, Jane (Joe) Barbeau and their children Jordan and Jack, Los Altos, CA, Sandy Jacobs and her sons, Jeff and Mark, Phoenix, AZ, Laura Hermanson, Mandan and Karen (Tim) Kautzman and their daughters Megan and Emily, Colstrip, MT; uncles, Conrad (Kathy) Mann, Pousbo, Wa, Del (Eileen) Mann, Napoleon, ND and many Mann and Hermanson cousins.
