Scott Bonagofsky, 50, Mandan, died November 9, 2014 at his residence in Mandan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Msgr. Chad Gion as celebrant. Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery immediately following the funeral service with Military Honors provided by Mandan VFW Post #70 and American Legion Post #40.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Scott was born on October 28, 1964 to Bernard and Rosanna (Zinnel) Bonagofsky in Belle Fouche, SD. He was raised and educated in the Selfridge area graduating from Selfridge High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1982 and served as a Food Service Specialist. Scott received the Rifle M16 Sharpshooter medal, hand grenade expert, Army Service Ribbon and Army Good Conduct Medal.

After Scott’s discharge from the Army he went into the Construction Business as an Iron Worker. Scott suffered a stroke in 2004 after which he was disabled and was not able to work any longer.

Scott will be deeply missed by his son, Casey Bonagofsky, Mandan, ND; mother, Roseanna Bonagofsky, Mandan, ND; grandfather, Henry Zinnel, Mandan, ND; sister, ShaNae Reamann, Mandan, ND and brother, Bernard Lee, Bismarck, ND and nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Bernard and brothers, Terry and Kevin.
