Ruth S. Krebsbach, 98, Mandan, died March 16, 2015 at Sanford Continuing Care Center off Collins in Mandan.
A private family service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St, Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Inurnment will be at Mandan Union Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Ruth was born on April 26, 1916 in to Henry and Johanna (Klein) Schmidt in Bismarck, ND. She was raised and educated in Mandan. Ruth married Thomas Krebsbach on June 9, 1948 in Mandan. She and Tom spent 35 happy years together before his death on January 22, 1984. Tom and Ruth enjoyed traveling; they toured throughout the United States and Europe. Family holiday were always important to Ruth and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Ruth lived with her sister, Clara and brother, Bob for a time before their deaths. She also enjoyed doing crafts and needlework. Ruth retired from North Dakota Job Service.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; sister, Clara Schmidt and brothers, Robert and Edward Schmidt.
