Rosemary Allen

Rosemary Allen, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2023, at her assisted living apartment. Rosemary, also known as Ronnie to her family and friends, was born in Bismarck and raised her family here her entire life.  She was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Allen. She is survived by her children, Nancy Nixon and Ted Allen, along with two grandchildren, Jeff Markley and Bryn Palena and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Rosemary was a long-distance telephone operator with AT&T her entire career and retired after 37 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, Trivial Pursuit and visiting her many brothers and sisters in various states across the Unites States. For many years she had lunch every Friday with “The Friday Lunch Bunch” at the Seven Seas in Mandan, ND. She also hosted the annual Winter Picnic with Kathy Marshall where lots of friends and family gathered to play cards, games and always a cocktail. So many fun memories shared with all!  

She will be interred at Mandan Union Cemetery in Mandan and a memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date this spring.
