Rose Mary Renken

Rose Mary Renken, 84, of Mandan, ND passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center. 

Rose Mary was born October 28th, 1938, in Mandan, ND to Edward and Mary (Shimek) Stack. She married Loren Renken in Flasher, ND on August 25, 1962. Together they raised four children. Rose Mary was a stay-at-home mom for many years while raising her children. She later spent many years working as a housekeeper at the Kelly Inn in Bismarck until she was about 80. She loved to bake, garden, and can vegetables. She really enjoyed playing with and watching her grandchildren grow up. She also enjoyed when the grand kids’ dogs would show up. She would pet and play fetch with them. She enjoyed reading Louis L’Amour books, putting puzzles together, watching westerns.

 She is survived by her daughters, Annette (Wylie) Hilderman of Driscoll, Roberta Renken of Mandan, Wanda Kuntz of Mandan, her son Paul Renken of Hartford SD; 7 grandchildren, Jamie Hilderman, Casey and Kelly Kuntz, Abbey and Joey Renken, and Tyler Renken (Kayla Hinrichsen) and Derek Renken, sister Delores Higgings; and numerous extended family members and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her husband (Loren) in February 1997; Her parents, 2 brothers Richard and James Stack, and a granddaughter Tiffany Renken.

Private family service will be held at a later date.
