Roger Peter Zins, 73 years old, of Raleigh, ND, died of natural causes on January 17, 2024 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.
He was born on January 16, 1951 to Lucy (Kuntz) and Eugene Zins. He grew up on a farm near Raleigh, ND where he partook in trouble with his many siblings. He obtained a high school degree and served in the Army National Guard. He was best known for his hay grinding business that for some time thrived throughout the state of ND. He had four children, who will remember his small acts of kindness as a father, like teaching how to tie shoes, splitting his pocket change for piggy banks, and buying pistachios as a special treat. Roger’s true loves in life were perhaps his collection of caps, 2-wheel drive, manual, pick up trucks and a 1972 Charger. He was a tough soul to love and to return love. He lived his later years at his residence in Raleigh, ND. He was able to eat one last piece of birthday cake on the day before his passing.
He was part of a large family and had many brothers and sisters. Despite smoking cigarettes most of his life, he outlived many of his siblings, and of course, his parents. Roger is now at peace.
