Richard A. Scholes, 18, Raleigh, ND died March 4, 2014 at his residence in Raleigh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher, ND with Rev. Dennis Schafer as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Richard was born on November 17, 1995 to Michael Scholes, Sr. and Sandra Heiderich. in Bismarck, ND. He was raised and educated in the Flasher-Carson areas.
Richard was a friendly and easy going, this made people want to be his friend; he was given the gift of gab and could hold his own with anybody with his dry sense of humor and quick wit. He enjoyed helping people and was always the one his friends would call if they need help.
Richard loved to hunt on the farm; he liked working cattle and ranching, he also enjoyed throwing darts and wrestling with his brother. He loved holidays with his family especially Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Richard will be deeply missed by Parents; sister, Mary Steiner, Elgin; brother, Michael Scholes Jr., Raleigh; grandmother, Verna Nagel, Raleigh; grandparents, Greg and Karen Scholes of Carson; great-grandmother, Ione Scholes of Carson along with his many friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his grandpa and dear friend, Eddie Nagel.
