Pauline was born December 12, 1943, in Bowman, ND, to Pete and Rose Schaff. She attended St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from Mandan High School.
In 1962, Pauline moved to Deming, New Mexico, where she worked as a waitress. Here she met Howard Feaselman, and they were married on August 21, 1963. They had three children, Tina, John, and Dina, and later divorced. In the late 1960s, Pauline moved back to Mandan. In July 1981 she married Roy Schlittenhart and the couple made their home in Mandan. Roy passed away in 1988. Pauline later married Dave Enyart in 1991, and he passed away in 2002.
Pauline worked as a surgical nurse at St. Alexius before accepting a position at the Face and Jaw Oral Surgery Center in Bismarck, where she worked under Dr. John Keaveny. She was highly regarded in her field and received numerous awards for her skills and dedication. She continued taking classes and attending seminars to expand her knowledge in the industry. Dr. Keaveny once shared how much Pauline meant to him and his practice. He credited her with helping to keep his business running smoothly and no matter what he needed, Pauline made sure it was done. When Dr. Keaveny learned that Pauline was reading one of his pilot books and that she was thinking about taking the test for her pilots license he offered to pay for her exam. He took the test alongside her—and she scored higher than he did, despite her fear of heights. In 2015, Pauline was diagnosed with dementia which led to her retirement.
In December 2016, Pauline moved to Elm Crest Manor in New Salem where she lived until her passing.
Pauline deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was also a devoted animal lover and regularly donated to animal shelters. She never turned away a pet in need—once she made eye contact with a dog, it became part of her family. Throughout her life, she always had a beloved dog by her side.
Pauline is survived by her children, Dina (Mike) Gerl of Mandan and John (Kathy) Feaselman of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Angela Gerl of Bismarck, Kristina Thomas of Bismarck, John Feaselman Jr. of Lake Worth, FL, and Brandie Gerl of Mandan; great-grandchildren, Allayna, Bentley, Brilynn, Lily, and Brixton; siblings, Gerry (Oscar) Jochim and Ken (Kathy) Schaff, both of Mandan and John (Bev) Schaff of Avon, SD; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Schlittenhart and Dave Enyart; daughter, Tina (Dave) Perry; grandson, Davie Perry; close friend, Heidi; parents; siblings Clarence Schaff, Donald Schaff, Leona Fowler, Dennis Schaff, and Sherry Rochford; nephew, Randie Schaff; and many beloved pets who meant the world to her.
Pauline will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and unwavering love for animals. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
