Nora Gross

Nora Marie Gross (Morrell) passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on March 8, 2020. She was loved by all that knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Josh Waltz as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Nora was born June 17, 1942 to Joseph and Magdalene Morrell. At a young age she helped her family work on their farm, south of St. Anthony. As a teenager they moved to Mandan. She married Bernie Neibauer, soon after and they had three wonderful children. She worked in her own business as a housekeeper, as well as tending bar.

She enjoyed embroidery early on and search a word later in life. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, going on family vacations, and trying new recipes.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laurie (Roger) Hoffman, Dickinson; Rhonda (Ron) Schaefer, Mandan; her son, Britt (Darcy) Neibauer, Mandan; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Morrell, Mandan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Magdalene Morrell; and her younger brother, DuWayne (Butch) Morrell.
