Mathilda "Tillie" Emineth

Mathilda "Tillie" H. Emineth, 92, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 3-5 PM at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a vigil service at 5 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Monday.

Mathilda was born on April 29, 1931, in Solen, ND to Frank and Monica Vogel. She attended school in Solen.  She married her husband, John Emineth. Together they raised four children: Geraldine, Gloria, Ron, and Daniel. John passed away on October 5, 1993.

Mathilda held several jobs in housekeeping throughout her years including at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Townhouse Motor Inn, and St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved holidays where she got to have the whole family together. She also enjoyed traveling in her younger years, visiting such locations as New York and Texas. She was also a collector of vintage dolls and horse statues.

Mathilda is survived by her daughters, Geraldine (Wally) Sherry and Gloria (Dean) Romsaas; son, Daniel Emineth; brothers, Frank and Ralph Vogel; sister, Jenny Hintz; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Emineth; sons, Joe and Ron Emineth; parents, Frank and Monica Vogel; brothers, Matt and John Vogel; sisters, Cecelia Jacob, Katie Becvar, & Antonio Fisher; daughters-in-law, Cindy Bauer and Vickie Mhyre; and special friend, Ted Lippert.
