Tillie was born on November 2, 1924 to John and Clementine (Barnhardt) Schlosser in St. Vincent (Mandan) ND. She was raised and educated in the St. Vincent (Mandan) area. Tillie married Joseph Miller on November 7, 1944 at St. Vincent Church, ND. Together they farmed near Crown Butte and raised seven children before moving to the city of Mandan in 1981. Mathilda was a homemaker and took great pride in her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, baking, (in infamous "Grandma Tillie" buns) and was active in her church and her community. Tillie was a warm and easy going lady with many friends. She loved fast walking. Tillie and Joe loved to dance and could be seen at many social gatherings (she played a great game of pinochle). She was involved in the Catholic Daughters, Meals on Wheels at Golden Age Services, Aid, Inc. and St. Joseph Parish. Tillie enjoyed her retirement years and was very active. Above all, she loved being with her family.
