Marvin (Marv) Huschka was born December 8, 1942, to Nick and Cecelia (Dolechek) Huschka in Dickinson, ND. He was raised and educated in South Heart, ND. He married Geraldine Kudrna on September 4,1965 in South Heart, ND. They moved to Mandan in 1970 where he worked as a mechanic at multiple locations throughout the Bismarck/Mandan area finally ending his career with Morton County.

Marv loved playing cards, fishing, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as “The Picky Grandpa.” He was always around to lend a helping hand and when the weather was good, you could find him making something in his workshop. Marv and Gerri loved to travel and go camping and in 1989 they joined the FCRV Roughrider Camping Club holding state leadership roles and attending the national conventions. Marv’s favorite travels were to Alaska, the ND Honor Flight, and wherever he had to go to spoil his grandchildren and great grandchildren. But his passion in retirement was the Fourth Degree Honor Guard and wood working. He was happiest when he was creating something new in his workshop and giving everything he made away. Marv was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose witty personality would make everyone feel comfortable. He will be missed by all that loved and knew him. Marv has finally “Gone to Bed.”

Marv will be deeply missed by his daughters, Renee Huschka, Las Vegas, NV, Rhonda (Scott) Walker, Renville, MN; son, Brian (Jennifer) Huschka, Houston, TX; brothers, Melvin (Joanie) Huschka, & Mike Huschka, both of Billings, MT; 5 grandchildren, Ashton Wilson, Courtney Martel, Lexy Wilson, Braydon Huschka, Tyler Huschka; step-grandchild, Cara Walker; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kensley, Devyn and Finley.

Marv was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Geraldine Huschka, his brother Maynard Huschka, and sister Sharon Granlie.
