Mark Koch, 39, Mandan, passed away May 13, 2014 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Christopher Kadrmas as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Mark was born on November 12, 1974 to Robert and Betty (Bentz) Koch in Bismarck, ND. He was raised and educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School. He worked for Tesoro Oil Company, Seven Seas, Oasis Truck Stop and did beautiful woodworking around the area.
Mark was a big man with a big heart, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his nephew Tyler. He had a strong passion for comic books and Star Wars. Mark enjoyed old black & white scary movies, rock & roll music and he loved animals. He enjoyed good food especially a good steak. Holidays especially Christmas and the 4th of July were special times for him.
Mark will be deeply missed by his mother, Betty; sisters, Christine Koch, Minneapolis, MN and Theresa (Brian) Whisenhunt-Nerison, Mandan, ND and nephew, Tyler Whisenhunt, Mandan, ND.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert Koch.
