Marjorie Hartman

Marjorie “Marge” Hartman, 78, of Mandan, passed away on October 1, 2018 at Sunset Drive – a Prospera Community, Mandan.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM CT at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veteran Cemetery.

Cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Weigel Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Marge was born on July 8, 1940 to Emil and Frances (Tischmak) Miller in Flasher, North Dakota.

She was raised and educated in Carson, North Dakota, graduating class of 1958. Following graduation she attended Dickinson State University.

Marge married Lyle Hartman on December 28, 1963 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Carson, ND.

She enjoyed volunteering at the Golden Age Center as well as working at Provident Life, ND Farm Bureau, Kansas Farm Bureau and being the North Dakota High School Rodeo Association Secretary during her kids’ time in high school.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lyle, of Mandan;  three sons, Lee Hartman, special friend Danielle, of Mandan, Brian (Betty Jo) Hartman of Mandan, Brett Hartman of Decatur, TX; two grandchildren, Shelby and Weston Hartman of Mandan; two sisters, Marie (Ron) Bieber, Rapid City, SD, Elaine Miller, of Mandan;  three brothers, Norman (Mayvonne) Miller, of Carson, ND, Ted (Sharon) Miller, of Mandan and Ron Miller , of Fort Peck, MT; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Richard, Roger and James.
