Marie Kary-Gargiulo

Marie Rose Kary-Gargiulo, 68, of Nanuet, NY, died September 3, 2019 as a result of an automobile accident.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, ND. Family will be receiving friends and family one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will take place.

Marie was born September 11, 1950, the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Hopfauf) Kary of Mandan, ND.  She was raised and educated in Mandan, attending St. Joseph Catholic School and Mandan High School. Then she graduated from Hairstylist college.  She eventually moved to New York where she worked at the National Girl Scout Headquarters until she retired.  While living in NY she came to love the ocean, enjoyed going boating, reading with her book club, and playing cards.

Marie will be remembered as a neat, quiet, and loving person.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Marie is survived by her sister, Margie Markel, Mandan; brothers, Larry (Jeri) Kary, Scottsdale, AZ, LeRoy (Shirley) Kary, Bismarck, Marv (Edie) Kary, Mandan, and Ken (Deanna) Kary, Tumsuba, MS; Robert Gargiulo and the Gargiulo family, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law, Joe Markel Jr.
