Margaret F. Pfliger, 91, of Mandan, ND passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, at Miller Pointe Senior Living in Mandan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Church of St. Joseph in Mandan with Fr. Joshua Waltz as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2025, at Weigel Funeral Home followed by a 6:00 PM Rosary/Prayer Service.
On February 17, 1934, Margaret was born to Frank and Helen (Lipp) Barnhardt on the farm near Hensler, ND. She grew up on the farm and on October 10, 1953, married Peter Pfliger Jr.
A few weeks after their wedding, Peter enlisted in the U.S. Army. After basic training, Margaret joined Peter where he was stationed in Virginia and New York. Following Peter's discharge from the Army, they returned to North Dakota and ran Peter's family farm near Center. They raised four children on the farm, and moved to Mandan in 1964, where they spent the rest of their lives.
Margaret is survived by sons, Dale (Judy) and Tom (Laurie); daughter, Bonnie; sister, Rose Marie; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Peter; son, Connie; and siblings, Florence, John, Clementine, Elizabeth, and Leo.
Margaret's family would like to thank the staff at Miller Pointe for the kind and compassionate care they showed their mother.
