Lori Ann Little Warrior, 56, of Fort Yates, passed away May 6, 2018 at the University of Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Fort Yates, ND with Rev. John Paul Gardner as celebrant. Burial will follow the service at Standing Bear Cemetery, Cannonball, ND.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Lori was born December 22, 1961 to Earl and Joan Standing Bear. She attended Fort Yates High School and Job Corps in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she took up many trades. It was well known you could find her doing what she loved; fishing, picking turnips and berries, drying meat, spending time with friends and family, and occasionally attending Prairie Knights Casino. Lori was a compassionate and gentle woman as she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Lori will be deeply missed by her mother, Joan Standing Bear; her sisters, Cherie Waddles, Winona Two Crow, and Earlotta Standing Bear; her brother, Arnold Jordan; a special nephew, Jade “Bubba” Standing Bear; and goddaughter, Billie Jo Jordan-Oleyte.
She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Standing Bear; her brothers, Jordan James and Joel Jordan; grandparents, Nellie Jordan and Joseph Jordan; and special uncle, William Jordan.
