Kaye Sullivan, 90, of Mandan, passed away November 29, 2020, at Sanford Health, Bismarck
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND. Inurnment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
There will not be a visitation. If you plan to attend the funeral service, please wear a mask and adhere to all social distancing guidelines.
Kaye was born on April 16, 1930, in Bismarck to John and Caroline (Gruman) Sullivan. After his father’s death in 1948, Kaye completed his father’s mail route. He served four years in the US Navy on the USS Uhlmann 687. During that time, he spent 23 months in Korean waters. In 1955, he began working at the Heskett Power Station and later that year he worked for the Standard Oil Refinery, retiring as a supervisor after 34 years. Kaye was a lifetime member of the Elks, Mandan Eagles and Mandan Legion. He was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master for four years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and horseshoes.
Kaye will be deeply missed by his wife, Jan; stepson, Scott Randall; sister, Sharon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kaye was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Patrick; and father and mother-in-law.
