Kathleen A. Cartier, 92, Oak Park, Ill formerly of Flasher died April 21, 2015 at her residence in Illinois.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND with Rev. Christina Martin officiating. Burial will be at the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.
Kathleen was born on August 7, 1922 in Flasher, ND to Theodore and Martha (Zieberth) Bornhoeft. She grew up on a farm in rural Flasher. After WWII she married Don Cartier in Chicago in 1946. They lived in Oak Park, Ill and worked in Chicago. They loved to travel and visited over 40 different states and several providences in Canada. Don died in 1982. Kathleen was a very creative person and taught ceramics in her house for many years. She also loved to read, crochet, knit and sew. She was active in her church and made and donated baby caps, blankets, lap blankets and her time to her community and church.
Kathleen will be deeply missed by her brother, Loren Bornhoeft, Mandan along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; brothers, Herman, Edward and Alfred.
