John Haull

August 10, 1922 — January 25, 2014

John Haull, 91, Mandan, died January 25, 2014 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Johnson Kuriappilly as celebrant. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Mandan VFW #707 and American Legion Post #40.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

John was born on August 12, 1922 in Red Creek Kentucky. He was raised by Bessie White. He was adopted by William and Bessie Haull. John served in the United States Army from November 19, 1942 to November 26, 1945, serving during World War II in the South Pacific, being honorably discharged in 1945. He was a carpenter by trade and was a standing member of the carpenters Union.

On June 30, 2000 John married the love of his life Ludwina Braun at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mandan, ND.


John will be deeply missed by his wife Ludwina.
