Jason Grosgebauer

Jason Grosgebauer, 40, of Bismarck was called by our Savior to his eternal resting place in Heaven on June 13th, 2019.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 10:30 am at Christ The King Catholic Church in Mandan.  Father Nick Schneider will officiate, and burial will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery immediately following the service.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Weigel Funeral Home with a Rosery/Vigil service at 7 pm. Visitation will be held Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Jason was born on March 11th, 1979 to John and Sharlene (Helbling) Grosgebauer in Bismarck ND. He was raised in Huff and attended school in Mandan. He married Amanda Henke on March 27th, 2015. Together, they have two daughters, Cecelia Antoinette (6) and Leah Emma (4). Jason was a heavy equipment operator with the Local 49 operating engineers and was very proud to be a certified crane operator. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many years hauling bucking bulls around the country to rodeos and PBR events.  He loved spending time with his two beautiful daughters, taking them camping and to youth rodeos.

Jason will be remembered by his wife Amanda and daughters, Cecelia and Leah Grosgebauer, Bismarck, ND; parents John and Sharlene Grosgebauer, Huff, ND; brother John (Dana) Grosgebauer and their children Preston and Pacey, Gwinner, ND; sister Jessica (Tim) May and their son Trenten, Bismarck, ND; Father and Mother-in-Law Jerry and Paulette Henke, Mandan, ND; and brother-in-law Chris Henke, Bismarck, ND, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was greeted with open arms into Heaven by his sister Jeri Lee, his grandparents Leo and Antoinette (Nettie) Helbling; Albert Grosgebauer and Emma Smith, uncles Dennis Helbling and Warren Grossgebauer, and cousin Nicky Lyn Helbling.
