Jamie was born January 22, 1971 in Bismarck, ND to Jack and Marlene A. (Kottsick) Pulkrabek.
Jamie was raised on his family farm, southwest of Mandan, until he was five years old along side of his big brothers John, Rob and Steve. In 1976, Jack & Marlene moved their family into town where Jamie attended Lewis & Clark Elementary School & Mandan Junior High School. Jamie then spent some time at Home on The Range For Boys in Beach, ND.
Jamie truly grew into the smart and loving young man he was during his time on the Ranch. He held a very special place in his heart for the many memories of his time spent there.
Jamie then worked alongside of his brother, Rob, at Lampy Concrete for a number of years. Jamie began his employment with ABC Siding, Roofing & Gutters in 1993 where he worked for several years into the late 90's. Jamie took a career change in 2000 when he began to work for Sunrise Home Delivery. Jamie worked 16 years as a delivery man for Sunrise. He took a lot of pride in his job by establishing a great relationship with each individual customer.
In recent years, Jamie was also a proud employee of his brother-in-law's & sister's company, E-Quality Contracting LLC. Jamie gave 110% on every job site and was not happy until everything was completed precisely and correctly. He was very proud of his time spent helping Jason.
In the Fall of 2023, Jamie began his employment at On The Run Convenience Store in NW Mandan, ND. Jamie was truly enjoying his employment at On The Run up until his passing. He was an outstanding employee that tended to any and every need of the store, beyond his job description. Jamie's manager truly appreciated Jamie's devotion to his job, his helpful nature, dependability and trustworthiness.
Jamie as a child loved to ride bike and follow his older brothers everywhere he could. When Jamie was eight, his only sister Wendy was born. In his young adult years Jamie really enjoyed many season playing softball with his Denny's Softball Team and also playing darts. Jamie enjoyed a good game of Texas Hold'Em, as he was an avid poker player.
Jamie had a lifelong passion for "Fixing" things. He was a true MacGyver of sorts. From a small child to his passing, Jamie loved to find a way to repair anything in his path and make it work like new again. Jamie would go great lengths to make a repair and would come up with some creative ways of restoring or inventing something to make it work again.
Jamie never married or had children of his own. But Jamie took great pride in his devotion to his parents, Marlene and Jack. In his earlier adult years, Jamie lived in his home in Bismarck, ND. The past 18 years Jamie made his childhood home, his HOME again. He lived with Jack & Marlene and was an amazing & loving son. Jamie was there for his parents in their later aging years helping them in any & every way he could. Jamie loved to fix everything around the house for Mom and Dad and enjoyed maintaining a beautiful lawn & property. Jamie cared more about those apple trees than most and he enjoyed helping Mom with her gardening & flowers.
Jamie was the "Fun" Uncle that all his nieces & nephews enjoyed and looked forward to playing with while at Grandpa's and Grandma's house. He truly loved each and every one of them as if they were his own children. He enjoyed being Uncle Jamie.
