Gregory “Greg” Lattimore, 61, died July 24, 2014 at his home in Mandan with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND with Rev. Lee Herberg officiating. Cremation has taken place and no burial will be held.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home.
Greg was born on December 16, 1952 to Morris and Marion (Shiek) Lattimore in Fargo. He was raised in Mandan. He graduated from the North Dakota School of Science. He married Marlene (Bubs) Olson in Wahpeton.
Greg was a Registered Land Surveyor and was dedicated to his work. He started his career working at Toman Engineering for 23 years before going to the North Dakota Department of Transportation for the last 16 years.
Greg had a wry sense of humor and was a true friend to many. He was the drummer in a band that would travel all over the region in a large school bus. He loved the mountains, hiking, hunting, fishing and history, especially Lewis and Clark. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
Greg will be deeply missed by his wife, Marlene, Mandan; son Bruce (Andrea); granddaughters, Erika and Sofia Lattimore, Lakeville, MN; stepfather, Peter Pickar, Fargo; and brothers, Marvin Lattimore, Columbia Falls, MT and Mark (Brenda) Lattimore, West Fargo.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Marian.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Salvation Army, St. Alexius Hospice or American Cancer Society.
