Gladys See Walker

Gladys Faye See Walker, 85, of Solen, ND, passed away June 16, 2023, at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at St. Gabriel Episcopal Church in Brien, ND, with Fr. John Floberg celebrating.  Burial of cremains will be at St. Gabriel Episcopal Cemetery.

Gladys was born October 26, 1937, to Robert and Josephine (Two Bears) Redbow. She attended Mandan High School. On January 31, 1957, Gladys married Ronald See Walker Sr. in Mandan.  They lived in many places throughout their marriage, including Brien, Mandan, Fort Yates, Los Angeles, and Solen. Together, they raised nine children. Ronald Sr. passed away in November of 1991.

Gladys had several jobs over her lifetime, including working as a cook at the Lewis and Clark Hotel and as a store clerk at the Solen Good Heart Community Center. She was a member of the American Legion and the Women’s Auxiliary Richard Blue Earth. Gladys loved to read her newspapers, do crossword puzzles/word finds, watch Jeopardy, and shop at GHCC.

Gladys is survived by her children, Joseph See Walker, and Janet See Walker, both of Solen, Ronald See Walker Jr., Fargo, and Sharon See Walker, Solen; five grandchildren, Nicole, Theresa, Daniel, Clifford, and Jesse; and 21 great grandchildren.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; four children, Emanuel, Delbert, Diane, and Warren; three grandchildren, Christanty, Dustin, and Shanna; and two brothers, Roy and Kenneth Redbow.
