Gerald A. Froehlich, 62, Mandan, died August 9, 2015 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a /Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Gerald was born on October 26, 1952 to Anton and Anna (Roshau) Froehlich in Dickinson, ND. He was raised in Dickinson and graduated from Mandan High School in 1969. He married Yvonne Heinert on December 31, 1976 in Nebraska. He worked as a Refractory Contractor at Gagnon, Inc. for 30 years.
Gerald was a member of the Eagles Club and Brick Layers Union. He enjoyed fishing, camping and enjoyed watching auto racing. He could fix or build anything and enjoyed the challenge of figuring out how to go about any challenge put in front of him. Above all his family was central in his life and he adored is grandchildren.
Gerald will be deeply missed by his wife Yvonne, Mandan, ND; son, Greg (Jennifer), Mandan, ND; grandchildren Tyson, Ayden and Gavyn; mother-in-law, Mary Heinert, Bismarck, ND; sister, Peggy (Rande) Zander, Mandan; brother, Les (Sheila) Froehlich, Mandan, ND; brother-in-law, Jim Ferderer, Center, ND along with several nieces and nephews.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Liberatus Heinert and sister, Marla Ferderer.
