Frank Rennich Sr.

Frank Rennich Sr., 92, of Mandan, passed away October 20, 2019 in a Bismarck Care Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Todd Kreitinger as celebrant. Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Frank was born on September 29, 1927 to Edward and Helen (Dachtler) Rennich in Elgin, ND where he was raised and educated.

Frank was drafted in the U.S. Army on February 20, 1946 and was honorably discharged on August 23, 1947.

He married Lillian Gratz on June 13, 1964 in Mandan, and together they had five wonderful children.

Frank was a brick layer for various companies, following retirement, he and Lillian worked together at Spirit of Life church for 18 years.

He greatly enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Lillian of Mandan; five children, Tim (Bonnie) Rennich of Minot, Lisa (Travis) Dilley of Mandan, Frank (Trish) Rennich of Bismarck, Ken (Pam) Rennich of Bismarck, Steve (Nicole) Rennich of Mandan; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Deloris Assel of Mandan and Ardella (LeRoy) Weiand of Mandan; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Art Heyne; brothers, George, Ray, LeRoy, and Kenny; and sister, Paulette.
