Florence Ann Adams

Florence Ann Adams, 89, of Mandan, passed away peacefully January 15, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Josh Waltz as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery. 

 Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. 

 Florence was born May 15, 1935, to Martin and Emily (Friesz) Olheiser in Glen Ullin, ND. She attended 10 years in Glen Ullin Schools moving to Mandan to complete her high school education at Mandan High graduating in 1953. Some of her high school accomplishments were playing on the women’s basketball team and class valedictorian. After graduation, she was employed by the Gambles Store in Mandan.

 Florence married Bernard Adams on June 21, 1955. They had three children, Tina Adams Kramer, John Adams, and Emily Adams Anderson. She worked for Braun and Schaaf during tax season. After her husband passed away in 1984, she was employed full-time at Zander Body Shop as an Administrative Assistant. Florence loved to travel and went on many trips including bus trips through many states and a cruise to the Bahamas. She also loved to read, go fishing, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Florence loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would do anything for them. 

 Florence will be missed by her children, Tina (Ken) Kramer, John (Renae) Adams, and Emily (Mark) Anderson all from Bismarck and Mandan; grandchildren, Mindy Messmer, Kayla (Tim) Gray, Sheena (Justin) Weil, Drew Ann Anderson; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

 Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Adams; parents, Martin and Emily Olheiser Helbling; stepfather, Peter Helbling; brother, John Olheiser; son-in-law, Ken Kramer; and great-granddaughter, MecKenzy Robertson.
