Eleanora Siegel, 85, Mandan, died July 7, 2015 at Sanford Continuing Care Center off Collins in Mandan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Msgr. Chad Gion as celebrant. Lunch will be held at the Spirit of Life Activity Center before the burial at Harmon Cemetery, rural Mandan, ND.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, with a Rosary at 11:45 am.
Eleanora was born on March 24, 1930 to Peter and Veronica (Erhardt) Pfleger in Center, ND. She was raised and educated in the center area. She married John Siegel on November 23, 1949 in Center.
Eleanora was a talented cook and baker; she was employed by many area restaurants and cafes. She made wonderful Christmas candy and divinity for friends and family and would love to bake for them. Easter was always her favorite holiday and enjoyed her family gathering together for special occasions. Eleanora would enjoy going on trips with her husband when he would drive truck. She babysat many children and spent time embroidering, crocheting and collecting angels. She also liked to volunteer at the Spirit of Life Soup Kitchen and play games at Golden Age Services and also play bingo.
Eleanora will be deeply missed by, especially her grandson Duane. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Siegel, Maddock, ND; brothers, Tony (Helen) Pfleger, Mandan, ND and Matt Pfleger, AZ and grandson Duane Siegel..
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2003; her parents; sister, Angie Bonogofsky and brother, Pete Pfleger.
