Dorothy Mosset, 84, Mandan, died November 5, 2014 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Philomena’s Catholic Cemetery, Selfridge, ND following the funeral service.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday/
Dorothy was born September 1, 1930, the eldest of six children to Jake and Katherine (Laintz) Jochim. Dorothy was raised on a farm west of Selfridge, ND and attended the Golden Wealth School. Dorothy married John Mosset, July 19, 1949 at Selfridge, ND. They farmed west of Selfridge until they moved to Selfridge and later moving to Mandan in 1997 after John’s retirement. She was a cook at the Selfridge School for 20 years.
Dorothy enjoyed many things including crocheting, collecting, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and family was always the center of her life.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by daughters, Gloria (Doug) Chapman, Bentonville, AR, Geraldine “Sis” ( Larry) Pleinis, Mobridge, SD and Carol (Bob) Wingerter, Alexandria, MN; sons, John, Jr., Selfridge, ND and Roger (Brenda), Spearfish, SD; 19 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren; sister, Alvina Dobler, Mobridge, SD; brothers, Art (Delores) Jochim, Selfridge, ND, Richard (Margaret) Jochim, Ft. Yates, ND and Jack Jochim, Vancouver, WA; aunt, Eva Kelsh and special friends, Lois and Rosie.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2007; her parents, Jake and Katherine; brother, Leo (Fran) Jochim; brother-in-law, Lloyd Dobler.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Sanford Health Care Hospice.
