Doris M. Wilson, 72, Mandan, died April 13, 2016 at in Bismarck.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Deanna Reikow officiating. Burial will be at the Peace Cemetery, New Salem, ND.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Doris was born on November 17, 1943 to Carl and Minnie (Bickel) Bethke in New Salem, ND. She was raised and educated on the farm at Blue Grass, ND. Doris moved to Mandan as a young woman. She worked at Mandan Hardees for 20 years and for the past 9 years she was employed with Herbergers. Doris enjoyed camping and fishing especially at Fort Lincoln State Park. Doris learned to fish as a young girl by a creek which ran by the farm where she grew up. She also had a fondness for cars, old or new it did not matter as long as it was a Ford. Doris was also a music lover she enjoyed all types.

Doris was a quiet and reserved lady with a heart of gold, her family and her pets were very important to her. Her grandchildren loved to go to her house because they could always count on getting cookies. She was always willing to help a friend in need. Doris will be missed by many.

Doris will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kimberly (Wayne) Mernitz, Bismarck, ND and son, Scott (Lisa), Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Samantha and Kayley Wilson and Brandon and Tyler Mernitz; step-grandchildren, Austin and Dylan; brothers, Gilbert (Donna) Bethke, Vancouver, WA and Earl (Joanne) Bethke, Puyallup, WA.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arnie.
