Debra Gullickson

Debra Sue Gullickson (AKA Debbie Sue), 66, has entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2023, due to complications from pneumonia. Her sweet smile, little hand wave, and gentle hugs will be forever missed.

Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Almont Cemetery.

Debbie was born December 31, 1956. She attended schools in Grafton and Bismarck for her education. She participated in programs such as Pride and HIT while living in the Bismarck area.

Debbie has called a few places home, living with family and also, most recently, living at the Svee Group Home in West Fargo, where she truly shined and was so loved. Debbie was very active during her time at Svee. Her favorite game was bocce ball. She also participated in the Special Olympics programs and was very proud of the medals she earned. Debbie did a lot of volunteer activities through the Day Hab program with Svee and every Christmas you could find her at the mall collecting for the Salvation Army. During her downtime, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, whether it was getting her nails done or just sharing some laughs. She also liked watching crime shows like "Matlock" and would get very excited when the bad guys were caught. She enjoyed riding horse and eating her favorite foods at family gatherings.

Debbie will be greeted in Heaven by her mom, Vivian; her brother, Randy; and her sister, Michelle.

She leaves behind siblings, Dean and Susan (Minnesota); Don and Joyce (Bismarck); Eileen and Tim (Saskatoon); Faye and Todd (Fargo); and Lynn and Mike (Minnesota); as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition, Debbie will be missed by friends and staff at the group home where she lived.

Anyone who knew Debbie knew she loved Elvis and could out dance everyone. May she rest in peace while dancing and playing with all the puppies and kitties in Heaven.
