Darlene M. Frohlich, 66, Mandan, passed away on May 31, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Nick Schneider as celebrant. Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Agnes Larkin Center at Christ the King Catholic Church, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 pm followed by a Parish Vigil. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Darlene was born on July 18, 1950 to Constantine and Margaret Boehm in Mandan, ND. She was raised and educated in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School and Joseph's School of Hair Design. She worked as a hair designer, bookkeeper, and daycare provider. Darlene married Herbert "Herb" Frohlich on July 11, 1970 in Mandan. She played an active role in her four sons' lives, always supporting them in their many extracurricular activities and other interests throughout their lives. She was a very kind and gentle woman who loved talking to everyone she met and getting to know them. Darlene's family was a very important part of her life, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Darlene will be deeply missed by her husband, Herb, Mandan, ND; sons, Dean (Caroline), Bethesda, MD, Doug (Sarah), Jamestown, ND, Jesse (Shelly), New Iberia, LA, and Ross (Melissa), Mandan, ND; 9 grandchildren: Ashton, Philip, Oliver, Claire, Grant, Liv, Maggie, Marie, and Emily; brother, Donald (Peggy) Boehm, Mandan, ND, and sister Donna (Francis) Hopfauf, Mandan, ND, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her brother Dennis and her parents Constantine and Margaret.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to The American Heart Association.
