Darlene Marie Bohl, 71, Mandan, died September 25, 2018, in her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 1st at 10:30 a.m. CDT at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with Rev. Todd Kreitinger as celebrant. Burial will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at 12 p.m. CDT.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. CDT on Sunday, September 30th at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan with a Vigil Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Darlene was born on May 24, 1947, in Fargo, the daughter Peter Nagel and Theresa (Hintz). She was raised in Brisbane and educated in Carson. She worked at the County Court House and local grocery store. On Sept. 28, 1968, she married Lawrence Bohl in Carson. They both farmed and ranched in the Flasher/Fallon area. During this time she worked at the State Tax Department retiring with over 20 years of dedication.
Darlene was a member of the Farmers Union Oil Company in Flasher and also served as the Morton County Youth Director for North Dakota Farmers Union. She served as the secretary and treasurer for the Morton County Crop Improvement. Recently she served on the Mandan Railroad Museum Board. Her greatest pride was her grandchildren. She especially loved the holidays and spending time with her family.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Anthony (Shannon) Bohl, Ankeny, Iowa, Melissa (Ryan) Quern, Shakopee, Minn., Steven (Melissa) Bohl, Bismarck, Richard (Amy) Bohl, Flasher, and Robert (Tasha) Bohl, Flasher; her grandchildren, Rachell, Austin, Valorie Bohl, Ellie, Riley and Haylee Quern, Abigail and Nicholas Bohl, Payton Omlid, Josie and Jameson Bohl, Madalyn, Rebekka, Fallyn, and Ty Bohl.
She was preceded in death by her love of her life, Larry and her parents.
