Cecilia Kuntz, 90, Mandan, died February 10, 2015 at Sanford Continuing Care Center off Sunset in Mandan, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Fr. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, there will be a Ladies of the Moose Ritual at 5:30 and a CDA Rosary at 6:00 pm followed by Parish Vigil. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Cecelia was born on November 19, 1924 to Adam and Regina Bullinger in St. Anthony ND. She married John F. Kuntz on June 6, 1944 in Flasher, ND. She was an extremely hard worker, talented seamstress, wonderful cook and a dedicated wife and mother. Her door was always open to family and friends. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed family gatherings where she would cook big meals that everyone would enjoyed. Her church, her faith and her family were central in her life and Cecilia was respected and loved by all those whose lives she touched.
Cecilia will be deeply missed by her daughters, Cecelia (Pat) Jordan, Boise, ID, Carol (Robert) Ernest, Grass Valley, CA, Claudia (Tom Whisler) Wiedman, Wickenburg, AZ, Corinne (Chris) Smith, Kennewick, WA; daughter-in-law, Edith, Sacramento, CA; sons, Tom (Val), Coeur d'Alene, ID, Ken (Kim), Gresham, OR, Don (Karen) Spokane, WA, Randy (Jennifer), Bismarck, ND; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Letchford and Loretta Dolacheck, Sheridan, WY; brothers, Cletus (Jean) Illinois and Andy (Sarah) Boise, ID.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John who died in 2009; sons, John Jr. and Ed and her 7 brothers and sisters.
