Carolyn was born on July 26, 1945 to Raymond and Lillian Brudvik in Minot, ND. She grew up in Mohall, ND, where she fondly acquired the lifelong nickname “Tingo” from her sister Karen. Following graduation from Mohall High School in 1963, she attended Minot State University, studying business. She and her beloved husband, Dennis, were united in marriage in Mohall on December 7, 1963. They were blessed with a devoted and loving daughter, Debra, the following year.
Dennis and Carolyn moved to Fargo in 1965, where Dennis attended NDSU and Carolyn worked as a secretary at the Fargo Foundry. They moved to Mandan in 1967 where she and Dennis began careers in the printing business. Carolyn worked at Flash Printing, Graphics Service and later owned and operated The Bismarck Reminder. In 2011, following a debilitating stroke, Carolyn was moved to Glendive, MT where she resided at Glendive Medical Center Extended Care.
Carolyn was a talented pianist and played in the bell choir at First Lutheran Church. She dedicated her time volunteering with Zonta, the Bismarck Downtowners Assoc., First Lutheran Church, and The Salvation Army. She enjoyed league bowling, camping, riding her motorcycle, spending time at the family cabin at Mouse River Park near Tolley, ND and traveling with Dennis in their RV to Arizona. She delighted in doting on her granddaughters and her kitties, and she spread joy everywhere she went.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Dennis of Mandan; her daughter, Debra (David) Linn of Glendive; her granddaughters, Mariah (Aaron) Huseth and Karissa (Devin) Nagel of Billings, MT; three great grandchildren, Arlo, Will and Harrison; her sister, Karen (Trent) Tarvestad of Devils Lake; and nieces Greta (Ryan) Bradley of Mandan and Dana (Jason) Berg of Colorado.
