Bryan Lynn VandenBurg, 68 of Flasher ND.
After a 2 ½ year battle with cancer, Bryan passed away on March 13, 2014 in the comfort of home, surrounded by his loving family

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Flasher High School Gymnasium in Flasher ND with Rev. Karen Wilhelm officiating. Burial will at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Lark, ND
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the School on Monday.
Bryan was born on May 2, 1945, to Henry and Peggy VandenBurg in Bismarck, ND. He was raised in Lark, ND and graduated from Flasher High School. On December 27, 1962, Bryan married his high school sweetheart, Lois Mae Dressler. Settling south west of Flasher, they farmed, ranched and in 1979, they purchased Raleigh Grain Inc.
Bryan enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting & fishing with his friends & family. He was active in the Flasher Rifle & Pistol Club and the Pool League for many years. Bryan volunteered many hours timing for the Raleigh Saddle Club. BV loved playing a good game of Pinochle with his friends. He also liked watching TV especially NASCAR and the History Channel. Bryan enjoyed playing all sorts of games with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, from Battleship to Peek-A-Boo. They brought a smile to his face and held a special place in his heart.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Lois, their five children; Kim (Gene) Kuppenbender, Eagan, MN, Kevin (Carol Schmidt) Flasher, Jeffery (Dawn Meyer) Flasher, Patty Jo (Brady) Burress Isabel, SD and Michael (Carissa Truedson) Oak Creek, CO and twelve grandchildren; Allie and Hanna Kuppenbender, Courtney (Nolan) Weinhandl, Kelli (Jake) Koenig, Cody (Lindsey Rusheinsky), Bailie, Josie and Paige VandenBurg, Sage and Hayes Burress, Lexi and Bryan VandenBurg and two great grandchildren; Jaycee Koenig, Hope Weinhandl, two brothers Peter (Caren) of Fargo and Kent (Arnetta) of Mandan and one sister Vicki (Mike) Schwab of Linton.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Peggy VandenBurg, father-in-law, Lambert Dressler and nephew Shane Dressler.
