Beverly Schaner

Beverly Schaner, 82, of Mandan, passed away May 16, 2022 at the Prospera on Sunset Drive Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 PM Monday, May 23rd at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan with Fr. Joshua Waltz as celebrant. Burial will be held at 3:00 PM Monday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan.  A rosary and prayer service will take place at 7 PM Sunday.

Bev was born May 12, 1940, in Bismarck to Chris and Vange Balzer.  She married Dan Schaner on June 6, 1957.  She spent most of her years managing Red Fox and Dakota Farms with her husband, Dan.  She enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with her husband and family.  Bev also liked to go on casino trips and play bingo.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pam (Dale) Speckmann and Donata Mormann (friend, Dave); son, Jeff (Kristy) Schaner; brothers, Richard and Chris Jr. (Barb) Balzer; sisters, Mary Morgan (friend, Paul) and Corie (Eric) Atwood; sister-in-law, Elaine Balzer; special friend, Bob Howry; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband (Dan); sister (Karen); brother (Skip); and son-in-law (Gary).
