Bernadette Ripplinger

Bernadette (Beckler) Ripplinger, age 86, left this world on August 15, 2020 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, Aug. 18th at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan.  A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM followed by a vigil service.

The funeral service for Bernadette will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Aug. 19th at Weigel Funeral Home, 309 4th Ave. NW, Mandan led by Deacon Gary Mizeur.  Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Bernice was born March 15, 1934 in Fallon, ND to Gregory and Mary (Schantz) Beckler.  She was one of eight siblings.  She married the love of her life, Richard Ripplinger, on July 5, 1954.  They made their home in Mandan where they were blessed with four children.  Besides being a stay at home mother, she also worked at the Donut Hole in Bismarck.

Bernice enjoyed her life, which included bank fishing, caring for her children, cooking, gardening, puzzle books, and playing bingo.  She loved to be surrounded by her family.  Bernadette was a 40 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Doris (Lee Allan) Leno, Rick (Mary Jo) Ripplinger, Sandy (Tim) Stokes, and Greg (Lisa) Ripplinger;  nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter due in August 2020.

Bernice was preceded in death and joined in heaven by her parents, husband (Richard), one granddaughter (Kelsey Hintz), and three brothers.
