Barbara was born November 30, 1931, in Almont, ND to Roy and Annie (Schaner) Doll.
On November 13, 1951, she married Anton Schaff at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Glen Ullin. Barbara spent 25 years farming and raising cattle with her husband in St. Anthony, Towner and Steele where they raised their five children. After retiring from farming, they moved to Mandan in 1977 where she did all the painting and finish work in their home building business. In 1985, she worked as a bookkeeper at D&S Auto and Trailer Sales until she retired.
Spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren was most important to Barbara and she often said they were her pride and joy.
