Avone Kukla, 76, of Belfield, passed away September 13, 2024, at Sanford Health in Bismarck.
Graveside service with military honors will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 25, 2024 at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery in Mandan. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
Avone was born January 23, 1948 in Grassy Butte, North Dakota on the family farm to John and Mary (Brown) Kukla. After high school he entered the Army and served during Vietnam. Avone is survived by Jason and Alyssa Kukla, Dustin and Jordan Kukla, and his grandchildren.
Avone could fix almost anything and he was always doing something productive like working on home improvement projects, meticulously polishing vehicles, or cleaning around the house. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, visiting with friends, or a game of Yahtzee or cards.
He spent the last few years living at St Luke’s in Dickinson. We are grateful for those friends and caretakers who made him feel at home there.
Avone was hard working, kind, generous, and thoughtful. He cared for others more than they could ever know. He left us too soon and we look forward to the day we meet again.
