Arlene Selinger

Arlene Selinger, 93, of Bismarck, passed away May 19, 2023, at Missouri Slope Care Center.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND. Inurnment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.  

The family invites family and friends to join them for lunch and fellowship at the Mandan Eagles immediately following the funeral service.

Arlene was born on August 1, 1929, in Slope County, North Dakota to George and Blanche Wallner. She attended high school at New England High School where she graduated on July 2, 1943. She met the love of her life, George Selinger, and they were married on November 15, 1948, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New England, ND. Together they shared three sons, Dennis, Douglas, and Duane. George passed away on April 22, 2006.

Arlene worked for Mandan Sheet Metal and went on to serve as a Morton County Assistant Clerk of Court. She loved playing cards and Mah Jong. She will be sincerely missed by those who knew her and were blessed to spend time with her.

Arlene is survived by her sons, Dennis of Mandan, ND, and Douglas of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Carol Arntson of Watford City, ND, and Myrna Brady of Arroyo Grande, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and son, Duane.
